Call for speakers - Applied AI Track

Chair: Dr. Mark R. Kanner, UnitedHealthCare

The purpose of this Track is for AI practitioners from Academia, Government and Industry to gather and learn about cutting edge work being done in the application of AI to real world healthcare problems in a clinical, administrative and research setting.

 

Interactions between professionals of various sectors can reveal opportunities for each of the entities to target their efforts on the most impactful problems in their respective areas. The size of AI in Healthcare is estimated to be over 22B usd in 2023 so advances can have an outsized effect.

Much of the AI work in healthcare increasingly leverages cloud computing technology and is subject to the advantages and limitations of the compute ecosystem and its integration into organizational and research processes. 

 

Examples of topics include but are not limited to:

  • Application of Explainable AI methodologies to successfully incorporate AI into business or clinical processes

  • Disease Diagnosis or predicting disease severity with AI

  • Using AI to improve an administrative or operational process such as matching patients with appropriate care management programs and services, optimizing patient experience in a hospital

  • Leveraging AI in drug discovery

  • Methodologies and challenges applying AI to Clinical Decision Support Services

 

Ways to Participate

Please submit the call for speaker form below with an abstract of no more than 200 hundred words describing which Applied AI participation mode you are interested in (Technical Speaker, Panelist or Paper Publication) and what your talk or paper will entail. Potential panelists please give a brief description of why you feel you would make a good panelist.

Please submit the form before April 30, 2023.
